Here are some pictures our families took to send home to Mamma Sophie.

Dear Mamma Sophs:
"Don't worry about us...We're doing just GREAT!! We missed you, South Branch, and our brothers and sisters for, oh...about one day.
Now we're the stars of the show!

A few things we've been up to at our new homes include:

Hey Mamma!! Check it out...
 It's me, Phoenix!
Don't you just love my new name??
Here I am playin' Queen of the Mountain on top of the big dirt pile in our new back yard.
I've had a few baths already, but that's no big deal. I kinda like it.
As you can see, there's enough dirt here to keep me muddy for about 10 years!
My new family is just great.
And they know just how to handle a sassy pants like me!
Love, Phoenix

Mamma, It's me again, PHOENIX!!
Just a few days later, but still at the dirt pile.
I'm so light, and the dirt is sooooo DIRTY! I love it!

Mud is good food!!
And so wonderful for the complexion...

Oh, just hangin' out on my back. Like I did when I was a baby.
Remember, Mamma? It's so I could always see if Murphy,
Daisy or Abby were sneakin' up on me.
I guess I don't need to worry about those pests anymore!
Now I'm really the boss!
(Well, except for my new Mom...we're all good)

Well Mamma, as you can see I have plenty of toys to boss around.
Being the Alpha female's a tough job and sooo exhausting...
I think my new mom and dad love me even more when I'm sleeping!!
Hey, don't worry. I'm being good...I promise.
Love, Phoenix

Dear Mamma Sophie: It's me, Murphy. You remember, don't you??
You know I really miss you sometimes when I get to thinking about it,
like in this picture, for instance...but it's really nice here.
My new family is awesome!!

I have some really great new toys which come in handy when I feel like chewing on stuff.

See what I mean? Lots of chewing goin' on here...I'm learning that this kind of biting, 'er, I mean chewing, is A-OK...
Chewing on toys...GOOOOOOD!
Chewing on Dad's pant leg...NO! Got it.

You remember chewing, don't you, Mamma?
These puppy teeth are just so sharp and it just feels so good to...I digress.

The really cool thing is that my new Dad's a dentist.
So you don't have to worry about me remembering to brush!

Mamma, in this picture I kinda look like Grandpa Cody when he was my age (8 weeks).
See how I can perk up my ears like I'm really thinking hard about something?
Don't we grow up fast?

Here I kinda look like you, Mamma...see the little crinkles in my ears?
Pretty sharp, huh?

Ok, Ok...I know what you said about being on the furniture.
But my new Dad says it's no big deal. And boy this is soooo comfy.
Pure relaxation.
At moments like these, I don't miss South Branch a bit!
Hey Colin, toss me the remote! It's time to watch my favorite show Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan.
Check it: Here's the address to his website:
http://www.nationalgeographic.com/channel/dogwhisperer/
I hope he never visits our house...

And how about this? My new Mom even lets me explore in her flower bed!
She says I'm really smart and that I dig investigating stuff and watching birds.
Just like you, Mamma!
She kinda gets concernced that I'm not even afraid to go all the way over to the neighbors' house to say hi...
(but you and I know that's not all I'm doing in their yard).

Just wait 'til she sees the cool hole I dug back here.

Well, that's about enough for one day. You're still in my dreams, Mamma.
But, I'm really happy here so you don't have to worry a bit.
I'll always be your little boy,
Love Murphy.

New pictures from Murphy at about 9 weeks:

Dear Mamma, Murphy here. Things are going great!
Today I got my first ice cube. It was pretty fun to bat around.
I could only hold it in my mouth for just so long.
It was pretty cold. But oh, so soothing on those little puppy teeth!

Raaaaaaaaaaahrrrrrr!
Or should I say little but extremely sharp puppy teeth!
C'mon, Phil, you want a piece of me?...LET'S GO!

Rats! Phil always wins.

At least it was a "clean" fight.
And Colin threw in the towel for me.
Hmmmmm, Erin's toes look pretty enticing.
On second thought....I'm not gettin' in that sink again.
Later, Mamma. Love Murph

New pictures from Murphy:

Almost too big for Erin's lap? NEVER!!!

Who, Me?

It's hard, being so perfect and everything...

Back in the bushes.
Over & Out, Murph

Dear Mamma Sophie,
It's me, Daisy! Here I am at my new place.
One thing I learned really fast is how to pose for pictures. Oh, so gorgeous...
Here I am with one of my new Mom's favorite pillows. Or should I say, MY favorite pillow:)

And how about this?? These guys are my new buds.
I guess they're called CATS! Pretty cool, huh?
They're a little different, but we get along pretty good.
We're all about the same size right now, but just wait a few weeks...
Then all bets are off.
I know, I know, it's still two against one. I better play nice.

Maybe my name should be Tulip?
It's OK, I'll just blame this on the squirrels.

Well Mamma, so much for me.
As you can see, I've got a nice place here just snoozin' with my Crate Buddy.
Hmmmmmm, maybe we can partner up against those cats!
OK, I promise to be good. Love you Mamma!
Daisy
New Pictures from Daisy:

I can take a pit stop even with a tulip in my mouth.
It's kinda like walking and chewing gum at the same time...

A beautiful Lioness on safari.

Here, kitty, kitty, kitty....

Here I am in a field of Forget-Me-Nots.
We took this especially for you, Mamma.
Forever, Daisy

Hi Mama, It's me Abby!  I sure miss you a lot, but I'm lovin' my new pad & my new family!
Let me introduce you to some of my new friends...

This is my big sister, Jessie.
She loves it when I bite her ears, chew on her tail, steal her toys & chase her around.
I still can't get her to share her food with me, but I'm workin' on it!!

I have a job to do here, Mama!  This is Ryan.
My job is to be by his side all the time and make sure he doesn't get hurt.  I love this job!

I take this job seriously, Mama!  I'm always by his side!

But when he takes a nap ---  PLAYTIME!!!  This is one of my favorite toys.
Guess what, Mama...I love to play fetch!
I'm really good about bringing toys back, but I don't understand "drop" yet.
Why should I drop?  I'm having too much fun chewing!!

All this playing tires me out!  Here I am dreaming about you & South Branch.
I love you, Mama!  Thanks for letting me come live with this great family.  I'm so happy here!

New pictures from Abby at 9 weeks:

Hi Mama, It's me Abby!  I just wanted to say Hi and show you how pretty I am!
I just got done swimming in my pool.  Now I'm chillin' poolside!

Here I am dreaming about you again!  I hope you think about me sometimes, too!
Love, Abby

Mamma! It's me, Tahoe. I told you I would write.
Don't worry, I just need to reset the date on the camera.
It's actually late May, 2005! I'm about 8 1/2 weeks here.

My new family is great!! Look at me tackling my new brother,
Seeker. He's a cool cat. He's a Fox Terrier.
Pretty fancy, huh? (At least he thinks so...)
I also have an older brother, Reno. He's a Golden, like me!!
He's just camera shy.

Huh? I don't see any resemblence. What? Stop laughing Reno.
Get over here and try posing with the Gremlin.
We'll see who has the last laugh!

How about this action shot!!? Seeker's got the stick, but not for long.
See how he walks around me kinda calm like?
Just wait 'til I'm bigger than him. Like in about 2 months...
Well Mamma, as you can see I'm kinda busy
chillin' and thrillin' with my two new bro's.
I think about you when they're sleeping...Love, Tahoe.

New pictures from Tahoe below:

I used to fit better in this tub last week.

Here I am watching over my universe.

Here's my brother, Reno. He hasn't put his
ears up for a picture since he was 2!

Reno reminisces about the days he
was the size of the gargoyle...

Seeker's all worn out from playing with me.

Aren't I cute? Got to love the baby!

Here I am with my Great Grandma. She's the best!
Bye--Tahoe

Pictures from Ginger, below:

Hey, Mamma! It's me, Ginger.
Just hangin' out with Dad at my new place in the country.

Watching for birds, just like you taught me, Mamma...
I'm going to grow up to be just like you!

OK, just like you but maybe one shade darker. But most definitely just as smart!
Love, Ginger
